Soil genesis, commonly termed pedogenesis, is the complex process by which soils are formed. This protracted transformation involves the interaction of numerous elements, including climate, topography, parent material, biomass, and time. These factors act in a collective manner to construct the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil.
